The Cube

The work “The Cube“ extends the physical world to a virtual plane / dimension. It communicates the experience that the geometry of the real world can be transformed by light.

"The Cube" is a white space with which a person can interact by entering it. Inside the room the illusion is created that the observer / the viewer is a light source and can partially illuminate the surfaces of the room. From the illuminated surfaces the viewer will be watched by silent people.

The range of the light source is restricted so that the visitor can never illuminate the whole room, and therefore has to study it to discover all projected people.
